female pilotShe wrote about how she feels about disclosing her salary. "I'm quite comfortable discussing my salary with my friends who are in the airlines." The pilot said that she starts having problems when in it comes to dating.

Emily has been fling since the 70's and is 54 years old. She says, "My very close friends know what I make and I'm OK with that. What does not work is letting a guy I'm dating know what I make. He'll usually feel overshadowed, or intimidated, or otherwise not be cool with it, and that's often the last I see of him. For the same reason, I don't usually reveal that I'm a pilot - I usually say that I'm in flight operations and let it go at that."

She went on to say, "Most guys just can't handle being with a woman who's making it in a traditionally male industry (and probably out-earning them)."

Dating musicians is not a good idea

From the mouth a musician, dating them is not a good idea. There are many reasons for why musicians are the people you should avoid dating. The only way to have a good relationship with a musician is to keep them from playing gigs.

Dating musicians is not a good ideaFirst of all they are way too sensitive. They pour their souls into the songs they write or perform but this also moves in on their personal lives. They will take everything too seriously and become overly emotional about the simplest topic of conversation.

Musicians have huge egos which need to be fed all the time. If they get the slightest whiff of fame or recognition, they will instantly become full of themselves. Their big heads can become too much for an everyday relationship.

Most musicians at some time in their career will have to take their show on the road. This means that they have to spend a lot of time away from their partner. The only way to avoid loneliness is to go on the road with your significant other, which is too great a sacrifice for many.

There is also jealousy to deal with when you partner is away. The temptations are numerous - partying, drinking, drugs, and the worst problem, groupies. These things are all hard to resist especially when they are always in your face. Cheating is not the only thing to be wary of…

Though it may seem enticing to go out with the hot singer of that great band, there is a lot to think about before you take that step.

The newest trend - getting dates by SMS

getting dates by SMSThe newest trend on the market is men asking women out via their cell phones. The Mobile Marketing Association did a study where they found that 44% of men between 13 and 34 use their mobiles to flirt or date via text message. It seems to be a good way to avoid rejection with most guys using this as an easy way out. They don't have to pick up the phone, they simply drop you line over the phone.

Though this may not be fun for women, men now have the opportunity to avoid the laughter and humiliation of asking someone out that is not interested.

The downside really affects the ladies. A man without enough guts to ask you out for coffee will probably be just as chicken to ask you to marry him, or something similar. Even worse, he could be just so lazy that it is a job for him to dial a phone. The divorce rate is the only thing that is seeing the upsides of this, now about 10% of women and men use their phones to break up.
