Diamond Lounge for the selected few

dllogo.jpg

Okay, so you've finished college, made a good carrier and a lot of money. What's next? Well Diamond Lounge may have the answers for you. They've just launched a special online dating service for the rich and bored.

It's an exclusive setup that guarantees members a high profile online dating experience (including the caviar :) ).

Arya Marafie, a London based entrepreneur and founder of this private online club said:

"Diamond Lounge is filling a gap in the market for people at the top of their game who want to meet similar people. We're getting a huge number of application enquiries every day from all around the world. People are going crazy for it."

Yes, I am sure they are, in fact Arya went on to clarify why his site is such a gem:

"It’s not like any like a standard dating or networking site where just anybody can join. Diamond Lounge is for the absolute creme de la creme."

If you were wondering who has already joined the club, let's just say the list includes A-list celebrities, actors, CEOS, doctors, lawyers, models and entrepreneurs from around the world.

Diamond Lounge is currently working on adding private events to their offer, and they are planning on creating the most exclusive invitation only benefits card ever - pure black and embelished with a real VS1 diamond.

Members can easily communicate with others though IM, live email and full-screen video conferencing.

Sounds like a very interesting place to be. If you feel a person of your high stature should be there, apply here.

BeautifulPeople.com coming to Canada!

A new dating service which only allows good-looking people to become members is coming to Canada in the near future.

Greg HodgeThe service is called BeautifulPeople Network and we've already covered it a week ago. To become a member you must submit a photo and your profile, then the opposite sex gives your picture a rating in the span of 72 hours. This rating decides whether you can become a member of this exclusive network.

Their advertisements even feature a ban on ugly people. The managing director says that this is not a reflection of arrogance or vanity but a realistic view of reality.

Director Greg Hodge says, "If you're in a bar in a romantic situation and you're going to approach someone with a romantic inclination, you're going to approach someone you're attracted to, at least initially. There's certainly nothing shallow about that, its human nature."

Meeta - a new social dating site

logo-home.pngSocial networking and dating sites are complementary and every couple of weeks there is another startup that integrates the two together. Meeta.com, a social dating site, is no different. The site launched officially on June 27, yesterday.

Meeta offers its members free and unlimited communication with other members. They can create and join groups, but also host events in their area if they wish. Based on personal preferences, the free matching system will send members unlimited matches right to their inbox.

"We are excited about the launch of Meeta.com and are confident in its ability to revolutionize online dating and provide singles an easier way to communicate and interact with each other." (Brian Rauschenbach., Meeta co-founder).

Members can choose to share their information with as many other members as they wish. There is also a forum, with numerous topics on relationships and dating. The founders have also gone to great lengths to create a safe environment by introducing several layers of information checking to prevent fraud.

If you've been wanting to try a new dating service this may sound like something interesting, so give it a try, it's free!

Online dating site for beautiful people

bp_logo.gif

BeautifulPeople.net is a Denmark based dating site network that aims to attract members who are good looking. In order to make sure that members are of visible "quality", every new candidate is put under a scrutinizing test for the first three days, when other members vote on their appearance. If the candidate passes, they are accepted as members. Basically, Hot or Not, but with further consequences.

The site offers its members to take part in deciding who can join their exclusive community, which is good in a sense, although the idea of explicitly shunning those who don't meet some bogus criteria of beauty some may find a bit offending. Nevertheless, beauty, like so many things, is in the eye of the beholder, so if you feel like testing what people think of your looks, apply for membership and submit your photos and profile - it's free and is done in five steps. Later, if you are accepted, there are fees for enjoying full membership benefits and range from £14.95 (30 days) to £69.95 (one year).

The service is now available for the US, UK, Danish and Swedish internet population.

Youniverse adds online dating … kind of

youniverse_logo.gif

Youniverse, the social network that uses visual methods to determine your personality type, has added the Dating Quiz to help you find matches based on similarities between your and others' visual dating DNA (what they call your personality profile).

Basically, you choose one of the offered pictures that best corresponds to what you'd answer to a series of questions, and there are plenty of questions. In fact, I took the quiz and spent some 15 minutes answering, to be presented in the end with a profile assessment, accompanied with an image box showing members that are compatible with me. It's all very nice, except that compatibility matches included men, as well as women, and I wasn't asked for my sexual preferences, so that kind of bothered me. In the end, though, maybe they just didn't want to complicate things, and simply gave matches withing both sexes, and let me decide whom I was interested in. It would be nice to be able to filter the matching results though. After that, well, contact the members you are interested in and take it from there.

Even though this is a social network, it's only natural to bring in a personal (dating) dimension to it, but having just a dating quiz doesn't really make this a social dating network (service), so I hope additional dating application layers are coming soon.

Anyway, the quiz is something that will easily take about 15 minutes of your time, and is actually fun. Membership on the site is free, so if you feel like socializing, join today.
