We're kinda late with this, as you won't have enough time to prepare, but we're publishing it nevertheless.

SpeedDate.comSpeedDate.com, the free service which allows local singles to meet each other through 3-minute online speed dates using their webcams, is hosting Philadelphia's and Boston's first online speed dating event today at 8:00 p.m. It's cool and not-time-consuming opportunity to meet someone new. Event details for Philadelphia dating event are available from here and for Boston from here.

And before we let you go, you should know SpeedDate.com's online events are also coming to other cities later this month — including Ohio (1/16), Washington D.C. (1/17), Detroit (1/23) and Phoenix (1/24). Plus, let's not forget they also work via Meebo. And now, the official release…

New site for relationship minded gay and lesbian singles

ogl.jpg

One Good Love is the name of a new online dating service aimed at catering for the needs of gay and lesbian singles looking for a relationship, rather than just casual dating. It's aim is to connect singles that are ready for the next stage by connecting them with partner for a serious relationship, using oGL Personality Test and Service, which is a specifically tailored matching algorithm for same sex singles. The Personality Test was made according to insightful research of the gay and lesbian community and formulated specifically for same sex singles who want to date. The system works without visible profiles, which are available to the general public on other dating sites. The oGL service allows its members to remain discreet while looking for a potential partner. Frank Mastronuzzi, Founder and President of oneGoodLove, said:

"The concept of oneGoodLove developed organically, as a reaction to the underserved and misunderstood gay and lesbian community… The leading online dating sites have either rejected gays and lesbians from membership or have treated them as if their dating process is identical to the heterosexual dating process, which it is certainly not. So, the launch of oGL signifies more than just another dating site. It gives the gay and lesbian community a chance to proclaim they too warrant services created specifically for their needs. And by using the best tools available to the "general" dating community to help our users to find a committed relationship, we are demonstrating our understanding of the LGBT community's needs."

Although the Personality Test is free (requires free registration), membership on the site is not. In fact, there are many subscription options offered, ranging from a full-year subscription (US $14.95/month) to a single month subscription (US $29.95/month). Every subscriber is asked to enter information for their personal profile, and there is a whole lot of details to fill in, which will later help you be matched properly. If you want to go further, and take a more active approach to finding your new partner, you can opt in for paid membership. Paid membership gives you the ability to communicate directly with other members, as well as in depth looks into their profiles.

The company's tagline is "When You're Ready". So, are you ready for a relationship? If you are, this is the first step.

Date millionaires and models in Australia

logo.gifAs announced in my previous post about PayPerMatch.com.au, there is another online dating service that's going to open on January 18, 2008. It's called MillionairesAndModels.com.au and it's going to work on bringing together singles that live an above average lifestyle. It would help if you are in Australia, but I guess, that's pretty irrelevant since you can always hop onto your private jet and go around the world :) .

Here's a list of some of the things the service will bring to its members:

  • 1000's of attractive singles
  • Exciting online forums
  • Millionaires and Models dating
  • Millionaire dating
  • Classic dating
  • Comprehensive photo/profiles
  • Quality members of all ages
  • Email to contact members
  • Featured members
  • Date like minded people that want more from life
  • Relationship Expert
  • Global presence
  • Rich men
  • We give you the chance to live the lifestyle that YOU want!

Looks promising, so on January 18 this year, head on over there and see what they've got!

Get paid to promote your dating profile online

ppmatch.gifIt seems the online dating business has found a new way for online daters to find their match. If you've heard of terms like "pay-per-click" or "pay-per-view", you probably won't be very surprised that there is now something called "pay-per-match". It's a new approach to online dating, as this concept actually allows a registered member to actually make money while enjoying the benefits of online dating. Online dating still makes money from paid memberships, especially sites which are specific to a dating niche. In order to get some nice results, online daters sometimes register on numerous online dating services, with significant cost. The site that's going to try and change this is called PayPerMatch.com.au (Australia), and it's scheduled to go live on January 18, 2008.
