Perfectmatch featured in "Another Chance for Romance" TV show

Perfectmatch

I don't know have you heard about the upcoming "Another Chance for Romance" show, but it's the first dating show focusing solely on Baby Boomers, which starts airing in early February this year.

But we're not here to discuss the show — we're here to tell you Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Perfectmatch.com's "Duet Total Compatibility System" will star in the show. This is on one side a proof that Perfectmatch system works, and on the other, a perfect opportunity for baby boomers to experience it for themselves.

Perfectmatch.com said they are expecting a significant increase in online traffic and buzz, meaning there will be more singles available in their database than ever. Yap, it's about the right time to join their service. More options translate into more opportunities to meet someone new. Good luck!

Wine dating grows in the UK

Wine datingPardon my ignorance, but I wasn't aware of existing of wine dating services. Basically, a company organizes social event where registered participants meet other people and chat with them, all while tasting wine. The atmosphere seems already in place — even if you don't like the place initially, just pour another glass — and it's up to you to collect all the phone numbers, while you're still sober. Not that we argue you should get drunk, but you know about that point when all the people around you suddenly start looking good…

Anyway, the UK's leading Wine Tasting Dating Company, Grape Vine Social, have witnessed a 40% increase in bookings since the beginning of 2008 particularly among hopeful women. You can find more about them in the release that follows after the jump, and in the meantime all I can say is good luck, and try staying sober for at least a couple of hours. You don't want to woke up near someone really ugly, do you? ;)

And here's dating for cat lovers

logo1.gif

We've already shown a dating service for dog lovers, so here's one for cat lovers as counter balance. :) The service is called PURRsonals.com (cute), and it aims to bring singles who love cats together for socializing and dating.

Membership on this dating service is free. Registered members enjoy contacing new feline friends ( this sounds so sexy! :) ), video and audio chat, emails, photos, blogs, forum and the latest news on cats (this is new, added recently). Even though this is a dating site, the service encourages members to join even if they simply want to meet others who are feline fans. Purrsonals has just extended their range of offerings to include Purrsonals.tv where members can share and watch videos starring their favorite friend.

If you are a cat lover ( and who isn't ;) ), join Purrsonals free and give it a try.

Dating for dog lovers

I used to have a dog, and it was very easy to start conversation with women, you know "Oh, look how cute he is! What's his name?", and that would be it. Better yet, if you both have dogs, having a conversation is going to be that much easier. What if you live miles apart, both love dogs, but there's a very slim chance you will actually run into each other in the park? Well, luckily someone has thought of that, and they are called LeashesAndLovers.com .

It's a dating/friendship service for dog lovers. Membership is free, and it allows you to create an online profile that highlights your personality and your dog's, upload photos, audio and video greetings, search for dog lovers for friendship, dating/relationships, same breed of dog, and/or fun activities, and onnect online with other dog lovers worldwide. The service supports all dogs and their owners and encourages adoption from shelters. Through member participation, they donate to animal organizations in need of funding for their operations.

That's not all, Leashes and Lovers is organizing a Valentine's Day dog lovers' event this year in New York City, as an effort to celebrate love for dogs as well as love for each other.

Save the redheads - join RedHedd.com

logo.jpgRedHedd.com is a site dedicated to bringing together redheads. According to their data about 2% of the Earth's population are redheads. Basically the site is an effort to try and preserve redheads as they are now a "dying breed". In fact they have a plan in place which should increase the population of redheads to 10% in the year 2120. They call it a "three generation program". Very ambitious I must add! Okay, now back to reality. :)

This is a social network, with an accent on dating as means to an end (mentioned above). Membership is free, and it would be nice if you were actually a redhead. There are plenty of things offered on the site to keep you busy for a long time - communication and sharing with other members, events, blogs, forum, quizzes, music and videos (made by members). I especially found Events to be interesting as they present everyone with a nice opportunity to meet with others of the red kind for drinks and socializing, if indeed that's what you were looking for. There's also a map of most recent logins (using Google Maps), such as this one I picked up at the time of writing this post.

Their moto is "Red is Beautiful". I couldn't agree more, in fact I have a couple of friends who may find this site interesting. One of them is a hot red haired babe with beautiful green eyes… Okay, pass me the hair dye. :)
