Test drive dating - a new kind of speed dating
I am always inspired by the many ways marketers find a way to promote their products. Volvo, the Swedish auto manufacturer, has just announced their latest effort - test drive speed dating. The concept is quite simple actually - singles are invited to a special speed dating event involving a drive in one of the Volvo vehicles, and then given 8 minutes in the front seats. This took place in Sydney, Australia, but there are plans to expand this to other locations "down under".
If you live in Australia, this is great news. I know I wouldn't mind taking the new C class Volvo for a test drive, and getting it on with a beautiful woman next to me. Maybe they could throw in some back seat action, if the couple quickly develops explosive chemistry.

Western Illinois University has this type of event, which is organized by the University Union Board. One such event was held last Wednesday in the Western Illinois University Heritage Room. There were many students wearing numbers with name tags, and they were chatting away only after a short time.
