How to make sure your love lasts

toi-photo.jpgAnyone who had been involved in a relationship knows it's hard to keep it going for a long time. Nowadays, marriages seem to last shorter than ever. Toi Moore and her husband Gregory Moore (guitarist in the band Earth, Wind and Fire) have clocked over 20 years of marriage, so Toi decided to write a book called Unbreakable on how to keep love lasting for a long time. Here are their ten major tips for making love last, first Toi's, then Gregory's:

communications, trust, love, respect, space

and

money, love, patience, communication, sacrificing.

I know a few elderly couples who've been together for 50 years, so maybe they should write books about making love and relationships last. Oh, wait they're not celebrities, so I guess that doesn't count then. ;)

Ladies, don't spend Valentine's Day alone

grabtiger.gif

Yes, it's that time of the year again. Valentine's Day, a holiday of love and romance, for those who are with someone, but a lonely time indeed for those who are single. Don't get me wrong, Valentine's Day is a nice day, except a bit overhyped, which leads to people feeling lonely when the day comes and the delivery person carrying a bouquet doesn't ring the doorbell.

Economic advances have made women economically independent and strong, which significantly changes the dating paradigm. Men simply find it harder to approach a successful independent woman, and refrain from doing so 4 out of 5 times (survery says). For the ladies out there, if you feel like you want to take things into your own hands and take action, Kathy Schwadel has released a book called Grab Your Tiger: How 110 Women Made the First Move to Capture the Men of Their Dreams, which presents 110 ways to make the man you want yours. It's really a compilation of successful experiences by other women out there who have used special tactics and won the man of their dreams.

If you don't like to be alone on Valentine's Day, the next time you see a guy who is just to good to pass up, don't wait for him to approach you. Take action and grab him! ;)
