The trouble with dating married men

It is a major taboo, however, many women still find themselves in the sticky situation of dating a married man. There are many factors that make married men attractive for women — they are committed, which makes the thrill of being the "other woman" even greater and sometimes women simply hang on to the promises of love.

The trouble with dating married men"Women who fall for married men are usually seeking attention and emotional support. Since married men seem to be more experienced and mature, they get attracted towards them," says Dr Kamal Khurana a marriage and relationship counselor.

Married men often truly do have quite a bit of experience in giving emotional support and do know the needs and desires of women at times better than single men. Men on the other hand will usually find themselves attracted to another woman if they are not satisfied (emotionally/sexually).

Dating a married man is something that a woman should put a lot of thought into. The other woman usually finds a situation like this the hardest to endure. There is a lot of guilt involved, and you can become stigmatised as "the other woman" possibly turning your friends against you. When a married man is involved than it is not just you and him, but there are the emotions of his wife and children which get pulled along for the ride.

Meeting someone in Europe - very hard in Sweden

A new study has shown that Swedes are not likely to spend a lot on going out to meet someone. In fact, as it turns out, if you're in Sweden and out for drinks, don't expect people to be very social.

In contrast, from thirteen different countries in Europe which the study covered, only the Dutch seem to spend less money for dating purposes. Norwegians and Danes seem to be willing to shell out a lot more in contrast to the Swedes, in fact, about 3 times more. Europe's top spending singles seem to be in Ireland, where they spend almost 5 times more on average than singles in Sweden.

Basically, if you're in Europe and looking to find singles who are willing to meet others they don't know, try Ireland. But be cautious, the fact Irish singles spend the most money for mingling doesn't mean there is a guaranteed return on investment. There's a financial crisis going on, so to stay in that context, a dating return-on-investment (ROI) has to be measured. ;) If you are below 100% ROI, it's time to travel further. :)

Give dating a chance

People who have been dating for a long time often dread the first date as they have a pile of bad experiences behind them.

Give dating a chanceFirst dates can be uncomfortable and nerve wracking and most of the time they turn out pretty badly.

It starts off with dating in high school where boys are pimply and nervous and continues on to college, where a person ends up going on more dates and having more uncomfortable experiences.

Blind dates are the best known culprit. Most of the time there is no connection and they can seem like a waste of time.

However, it is not a good idea to give up on dating entirely. You never know when that perfect gentleman or wonderful woman will be taking you out on a date.

Sometimes all it takes is a little less negative thinking and more creativity on your side to make a date really good.

Dating fears of men

Women have many dating insecurities, which are easy to list right off the bat. Men's dating fears are a bit lesser known, but there are quite a few and it is important in the first few months of dating to react to them properly.

Dating fears of men

His first and foremost fear is probably that he is not the only man you are seeing. Men are very competitive and it is probably driving him nuts not knowing what he is up against. The best way to handle this situation is to skirt the subject, do not tell him you are exclusively his but ask him a lot of questions about his life.

He is probably continuously worried that you are going to reject him. He needs little acts of kindness to reassure him that you plan on staying, like lots of eye contact and gentle touches of the hand.

He probably wants you to know that he is an accomplished person, so if he brags about his achievements, let him, because he is only trying to impress you.

Finally, he is probably unsure of whether he is taking things too slow or too fast. Make sure you give him some hints about whether he should be a bit more forward or slow down…
