Lauren Conrad fighting dating abuse

Lauren is the star of the MTV series "The Hills," she is also a darling of the media and a favourite of the paparazzi.

Lauren ConradMany are hoping that she will still be appearing on MTV in 10 years. When asked about this Conrad simply said, "I hope not, I really hope not!"

Her MTV series "The Hills" is partly scripted and partly reality. She has become a household name for those between the ages of 13 and 35. The show will see its finale on the 22nd of December, and its future from there on out is rather cloudy. However, the girls from the show are finding other things to do. Whitney Port will have her own spinoff, "The City," which will follow her life in New York. Audrina Patridge has gotten a role in "Sorority Row," a horror film. Heidi Montag will probably go on taking care of her misfit boyfriend.

Conrad is doing many things like writing books and teaming up with Avon cosmetics to fight dating abuse and partner violence.

Conrad says: "It is a difficult age, and you don't have a lot of experience in dating, and you don't know what the norm is and what's acceptable. Dating abuse isn't something that's normally talked about. It has such a stigma to it." Lauren's best piece of advice to young girls is that they go out on first dates in a group or in public places.
