Many American men go overseas to travel and find themselves free of everyday routines and stress, allowing them to become more spontaneous, expressive and passionate, which makes them feel that they can date women that would not go for them back home.
In their arrogant and ignorant way, American men think that they can woo exotic beauties with their American charms; which they consider to be optimism, good humor, superior dentistry; and of course they think that women find their inability to understand the local language endearing.

Things are changing though, the American dollar is not so strong anymore, so they can't get the materialistic girls.
