Tough times call for creative dates
It is becoming ever more apparent that we are experiencing a recession. With the prices of gas at an all-time high, people are having to cut back on their spending.
Most people are more worried about losing their jobs than going on pricey dates. Even couples that have been together for a long time are letting go of their "date night," and staying home instead to save a few dollars.
A traditional date at a medium-priced restaurant can end up costing about $60. While a night at the movies can be nearly $100, when considering the price of tickets, snacks, and beverages.
It is useless to dwell on the bad side of things - it is better to get a bit creative. One excellent idea is to go on a "bookstore and coffee" date. This is good for a first date and a long-term relationship date. You simply go to a larger book store with your partner and have a look around. You can find out a lot about a person by seeing which subjects they are interested in. You can find something that interests the both of you. Afterwards, you can get a nice coffee over which you can talk about all that you have read.
Sometimes keeping things simple can take the most creative energy.
