Feeling safe and protecting your privacy is one of the major obstacles that still keep people from using online dating services. There is a way for a phone conversation to take place without either party knowing the other's phone number. The solution is offered by BeeMask.
It's a free service that relies on a member registering their mobile number within their profile on a dating site. If both people are registered as BeeMask users, phone communication happens simply by sharing a connection code word. Two people need to make sure to enter the code word on the BeeMask site at the same time, for a connection to happen. If one of the participants happens to end the call, the other will not be able to simply call that person back, since they won't know the number.
So, there we have it - a way to have safer online dating by protecting the privacy of our own phone number.
