Chatwall - a unique kind of SMS dating

sms-chatwall_banner_communi.jpg

Haase & Martin, a German mobile solutions developer, has announced the latest version of their SMS Chatwall application. Chatwall works by projecting SMS's onto a silver screen, both indoor and outdoor. Numbers are shown, and everyone present can send an SMS to that number, with messages projected on the wall as well. Pretty neat!

In the latest version (3.0), all party guests can show their own or their friend's photo on the screen, in addition to the short messages. For example "Hey, I'm Mike! Is there a girl here that would like to have a drink with me?". If a girl is interested, she can send her own reply message along with a photo saying for example "I'd like to have a drink with you Mike". Mike then checks his wallet and realizes he is not that prepared for the situation ( just kidding :) ).

Since the screen is visible from most places at the venue, the constant exchange of messages and photos on it attracts attention, and guarantees strong user engagement, so you are bound to meet someone you like quickly.

Sounds like a lot of fun, so stay tuned for a Chatwall party in your town.

Horoscope dating by Russell Grant Dating and Match.com

Actually Match.com is just providing the infrastructure for this dating service which is actually available on another site called RussellGrant.com. This site is actually a horoscope service that helps its clients to find out what the stars are saying about their chances in life (okay, this is my free interpretation, but you get the idea).

It was only natural for them to include dating into the scheme of things, and mix it up with a little horoscope science. The idea is that singles are to be matched with other singles according to their horoscope compatibility. Nice combination.

Membership is free, so visit Russell Grant Dating and see what's in your stars!

Rolland Garros couple: Dominika Cibulkova and Gael Monfils

It's Rolland Garros time and we thought it's interesting to post a tennis celebrity gossip.

Dominika Cibulkova and Gael MonfilsSlovakian tennis player Dominika Cibulkova is dating the French player Gael Monfils. Their relationship began in Miami, and according to sources, ever since they've been inseparable.

At the moment, the two is extending its relationship on the court, by competing in a mixed doubles at the French Open. In addition, Monfils was spotted in Cibulkova's box during her singles match against Jelena Jankovic at Roland Garros. Unfortunately for her, that hasn't helped, as she was swept away by the Serbian player.

Finally, to make things even spicier, The 19-year-old Cibulkova is not the first tennis player Monfils has been linked to. Before her, he was reportedly dating Frenchwoman Alize Cornet!

What can I say - way to go man, but you should try Ivanovic or Sharapova. We love them even more. ;)

Facebook helping people dive back into the dating world

Amber Blackburn recently single is quite surprised by the fact that Facebook helped her get back into the world of dating. She says, "My fiancé of two years just left me so I switched my relationship status to single."

Facebook Helping PeopleOn Facebook, a little broken heart pops up to show all your friends and acquaintances that you are back on the singles market, otherwise called declaring your relationship status. Basically if anyone looks at your profile knows whether you need a date Friday night.

"It's kind of silly but if you're trying to connect with somebody, you at least know if they're taken or not."

Some feel that this is just a little too public, because millions of people online can see if you are dating, engaged, in a complicated situation or even single. This for some people is a bit too much — while others feel that if you are in truly in love, why not spread the news?

Blackburn doesn't really see the negative side of proclaiming your status on Facebook, "I mean if you are talking to someone in a bar you'd tell them I'm taken or single. So why not do it on Facebook?"

What's more Amber is feeling the positive consequences, "It's this kid from high school and we used to hang out a lot. And he saw I was single and he facebooked me. I'm excited!"

Michelle Williams down on her luck with dating

All former Destiny's Child star Michelle Williams has to say about her love life is that this year it has been, "so unfortunate."

Michelle WilliamsShe told People magazine this Thursday, "I haven't had any luck this year; it's been a couple of years since I have been in a really serious relationship. Every now and then you might think you are coming up on a winner, and then it doesn't work out."

However, it isn't any wonder that she hasn't really had time to find her match because she has been hard at work on her first solo R&B album Unexpected. She is really focused on the album but sometimes she feels she ought to be focusing her time and energy on some other things.

She says, "It's like, am I now falling in that percentage of women who could possibly be single for the rest of their life because of their career and or what they do? And I don't want that."

The singer's main problem is that she feels that most of the time men are simply scared just to say hello, most of the time she has to make the first move. Laughingly she says, "I'm human. I don't bite."

Finally Williams said, "I need a grown man. Somebody who is focused. Somebody who is working. Somebody who is loving life. Somebody who is strong. A charmer."
