Find romance on the open seas

Romance and cruise ships seem to go together, don't you think? Movies have been made about this. Sunsets on the sea horizon, gentle breeze, hands held together and reflections of the couple in each others' eyes … that's what it's all about.

No wonder more than 50% of survey respondents feel a cruise is a great way to spend vacation or celebrate a significant anniversary. The survey was done by CruiseCritic.com, a site that specializes in cruise reviews and cruise guides and in other editorial driven features, with an active cruise community. When asked what type of romance they'd be looking for if they went on a cruise, more than 90% of respondents said they'd like to spend that time with someone special.

Cruising is one of the most romantic ways to travel - cozy cabins, private balconies, intimate dining, the adventurous sea experience, distance from "normal" everyday life chores and pressures, oh, and not to mention luxury, for those who have the extra cash.

It seems cruises are becoming more popular as an option for singles looking for a way to meet other interesting singles, although this option is still far from being quick and easy, such as it is on online dating services. If you've got some vacation time coming, treat yourself to cruise trip. You never know, maybe your special someone will be boarding on the same day. ;)
