Singles traveling together after only a few dates
This trend was noticed when employees of a certain hotel chain noticed that they were meeting many couples, who had only dated a couple times, taking vacations together.
The people at a luxury Canadian hotel chain decided to look into this trend a little further. The users of the personal ads online at Lavalife were surveyed. 19 percent of women and 27 percent of men said that they would go on holiday with someone after having dated them only for a month.
These people are called "holidaters" and now the hotel chain is creating an "icebreaker" package to cater to these types of daters. These packages are not too romantic, but there are many activities allowing the daters to get to know each other like picnics and ice-skating.
