Date and earn money

youloveme.gifDating can be a costly process - there are expenses for dinner, dressing up, transport… It's unavoidable and necessary. A dating service just entered Beta, which allows its members to communicate with other members in a social network like fashion for the purpose of finding a dating/relationship partner, except you can actually make some money as well.

The founders of YouLoveMe.com have done extensive research on the topic of dating, and found that 4 dates a month will set you back an average of $345. This takes into account various expenses such as dinners, movies, transportation expenses, obligatory candies and flowers on the first or second date. YouLoveMe members are given space where they can place their own banner ad on the MyPage section of the site. All clicks generated from these ads are worth money, which members can use to cover at least some of their dating expenses. Basically, members are payed to stay members.

"YouLoveMe.com takes into account and encompasses the best elements of the dating scene", said Leo Cono (founder and CEO).

"It highlights and amplifies what PlentyofFish.com has accomplished in the free online dating space. Cono continued, furthermore; since YouLoveMe.com is mixing Free Online Dating with Social Networking, this model has the potential for greater membership growth because social networking sites have more members in comparison to dating web sites. An example is MySpace with 300 million registered members versus Match.com with 15 million members".

This is another example of what can be achieved when one takes social network functionality and mixes it with the traditional dating site. Members start as "friends first", and can and do progress towards more intimate forms of companionship. It has been proven that singles get together more easily if they start as friends.

YouLoveMe.com is building a video library of members (similar to YouTube). These videos contain lots of information:

  • Basic Self
  • Personality Traits
  • Interests & Activities
  • Autobiography of Various Lifetime Milestones
  • Memories or Stories of Your Life
  • Goals, Ambitions or Mission in Life
  • Knowledge/Philosophies
  • Social Networking Recommendations
  • Exit Greeting / Best Way to Contact

There are monthly contests which determine winners whose profiles are featured on the home page for what's called "The Most Eligible Bachelor Contest". Once choses, the most eligible bachelor will get to have a date with a selected female member flown to the destination. While all this is happening, banner ads are earning money for members while they socialize.

An interesting approach to online dating. Sounds like a lot of fun too. If you're interested, join YouLoveMe.com for FREE.
