Feeling adventurous - go on a Crazy Blind Date

crazydate_splash.jpg

Crazy Blind Date is a dating service that coordinates dates on a short notice. Everything happens quickly, so it's aimed at people who are adventurous, social and outgoing people. When you agree on a date you get to see a description of the person you are going to meet. If for some reason you can't find each other in the crowd (in a club or big bar or wherever), you're able to exchange SMS messages with the other person through Crazy Blind Date for "navigation".

When you request a date, the service shows them a super-blurry picture of the other(s) and it is at that moment you have to answer yes/no. A "yes" is binding, meaning you are committing to go on a date with the offered person. Of course you can choose not to show up, but that would be kinda rude. The service recommends to its members they shouldn't lie in their descriptions and personal information. After all, someone requesting a date with you only has these tidbits of information to go on. Their date wizard allows three possibilities: a solo date, a double date (with a friend or complete stranger), and be placed in the middle of a date (you + the other two … uuh, kinky!).

So far the service is available in New York, San Francisco, Boston and Austin. It's completely free (you'll make your profile after you've completed the date wizard), so check it out! Sounds like fun.
