PRESS RELEASE - SpeedDate.com, the world's first online speed dating website, announced today that it will host its first online speed dating event for Philadelphia area singles on Thursday, January 10th at 8:00 p.m.
SpeedDate.com allows local singles to meet each other through 3-minute online speed dates using their webcams. Unlike other online dating options, SpeedDate.com allows singles to immediately determine if they have real chemistry before taking the time to meet in person.
"SpeedDate.com is convenient, safe, and fun, and it's a great way to find someone who you have real chemistry with," said SpeedDate.com co-founder Simon Tisminezky. "I invite all Philadelphia singles to find someone special at Thursday's free online event."
To register for the online speed dating event, Philadelphia singles should enter their email address and zip code at www.speeddate.com. The first 30 registrants will receive a free webcam. If you don't have a webcam you can still participate and meet other singles using a microphone and text chat.
SpeedDate.com was founded by two recent Stanford Business School graduates. SpeedDate's patented system allows singles to effectively find chemistry online. The company is backed by Silicon Valley venture capital firm Menlo Ventures.
