Lionel Richie finds the dating thing difficult

c_71_article_1006620_image_.jpgThe legendary singer finds "this dating thing" difficult because so many of his song titles sound like chat-up lines. He said it's hard for him to meet women because their first reaction is always something like "Oh my God! You are Lionel Richie!". Everything from then on sounds like a flirt. Even a simple "hello" sounds flirty (remember the song "Hello! … Is it me you're looking for?").

Lionel has been married twice already. According to a post on Boston.com, after his last divorce in 2001, he vowed never to get married again. He says marriage is simply too much responsibility, and that's something he doesn't want, because he is happy where he is. The title of one of his songs from the latest album says it all - "Up All Night". He went further to say that it's difficult for him to do the dating thing, because he'd hate all the kiss and tell. He likes the idea of not being attached. This way he can party "All Night Long". :)

Ladies, if you happen to bump into Lionel somewhere, flirt but don't use his song titles as lines, and don't let him know you know who he is. ;)

DodgeBall - meet your crush on the go

dodgeball_200×200.jpgMobile phones are getting more advanced everyday. With their progress, there is also plenty more content now available for mobile users everywhere. It's not much different when it comes to online dating and matchmaking, after all, it's one of the few online businesses that have successfully evolved and adopted all the new technologies as they became reality. Social networks and online dating are probably services that are most used by mobile phone users. DodgeBall is one such dating service, tailored with the mobile user in mind.

It's not the usual dating service, because its primary focus is not to connect its users for the sole purpose of dating. The accent is on providing a social network for users that can easily stay in touch with other friends. Users can easily hook up with others who happen to be somewhere in the area, and have lunch, drinks or visit a sale and do shopping together. Every member can get information about the whereabouts of their friends sent to them via SMS, so if they are close enough on a location they can easily meet for a chat and a cup of coffee. There is also the ability to send a mass message to all your friends, for example when you are in town, so you can arrange a fun gathering at a venue you can find by querying DodgeBall through your mobile phone.

So, where is the dating dimension, you ask? Well, DodgeBall has made it easy for members to express their fancy for someone. By choosing up to five crushes, the system is able to inform a member whether their crush is somewhere near by, so if they want to take a chance and meet in person, they can. Just make sure you look your best and take a chance right there and then. It just goes to show that it's becoming harder to differentiate between social network and dating sites, although pure dating sites really only have that one purpose, while social networks have a multi-dimensional approach to socializing on the web.

Oh, by the way, Dodge Ball became part of Google, and their system and other Google services are integrated. Membership is free, but you have to have a Google account, because this is how you log in to Dodge Ball. The service is available in 21 cities in the US, with plans to expand to cover many more. If you travel a lot, and have a crush on people in different places, this is a great way to keep the fire burning. All you have to do is just show up once in a while and hook up, or if you'd rather avoid an unpleasant encounter, dodge the ball :) .

BeNaughty.com revamped and naughtier than ever

logo.pngEasyDate, which launched BeNaughty.com at the end of July this year, decided to launch a revamped version of the site. Apart from the design, which is now much "stickier", the new old site also brings a more fresh, colorful and playful feel to its visitors.

Users are offered free registration and easy site navigation, but also a wide range of social networking features. Potential members can choose from a variety of membership profiles, each tailored to suit individual budget and lifestyle … well, as much as that is possible. For users who don't have credit cards, BeNaughty offer payment through mobile phone or a dedicated phone line.

You can enjoy chats, web cams, secure email, sms chatting and mobile dating, and you get to share a unique web address with friends on Facebook, MSN, Bebo, MySpace, Skype, ICQ and other social networking sites. If you happen to like someone, or dislike someone, you can rate them by using one in a variety of emoticons available. There is also access to the naughty shop, where members can browse thousands of sexy products and buy whatever little sexy toy they like. That's not, all, and this I found kinda interesting - you can build your sex CVs and share your preferences and habits with others, all with a single purpose, to flirt and have fun. If you are the kind of person who likes to use technology in its fullest, there is the option of recording video, so you can express yourself that way too.

BeNaughty.com sounds like a lot of fun, and although most of the members were from the UK and Ireland, you are welcome to join from anywhere in the world. So, feeling a little naughty?

They were among the first to introduce a scientific approach to matchmaking by using in depth compatibility tests.

Once again, if you want to take advantage of this opportunity, the eHarmony free communication weekend ends on Sunday, so get started right away.
